How very fortunate I am..

I asked Shane to teach the bulk of the lesson today to our sunbeams, because I wasn't feeling very patient. He agreed, and I sat back while Shane taught the kids, telling stories and explaining simple gospel principles. As I watched, I was very moved by the love he has for our little sunbeams and for our Heavenly Father. He reminded me of his Dad, and I felt so much gratitude for Shane, and for the examples he has had in his family. I am so happy to be able to have a wonderful and blessed life, with a kind and loving husband.

Hi! Cousin Kat here. I'm so glad you guys teach sunbeams! Sometimes I think it cruel and unusual that they put fairly newly-weds in callings like nursery and sunbeams, but then I look back at my time with the little tykes and love it! Jon and I have been teaching sunbeams for almost 3 years now (nursery was our calling before that) and although I know the lessons by heart now, I love seeing Jon teach the kids. I swear they love him and hate me (I'm mean!) Such a cute calling!

so tender.

yeah sunbeams, Wiley's sunbeam teachers, he had several, were either awesome or horrible.

The ones that were awesome made church going easier. You have no idea how much of a difference it makes to them. Wiley needed to know that he was loved and missed. When he teachers made that effort to verbally and physically show it, then church became easy.

I'm sure you guys are sweet teachers. You guys would have been the ones that Wiley would have liked.
